Dashbo legal

Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Dashbo collects, uses, shares, protects, retains, and deletes information when you use the Dashbo web service and the Dashbo Android or Android TV display player.

Effective and last updated: July 15, 2026

1. Information we collect

Depending on the features you use, Dashbo may collect:

  • Account and workspace information: name, email address, profile image, authentication identifier, workspace membership, role, and sign-in times.
  • Content and configuration: media, templates, schedules, playlists, display names and locations, source URLs, branding, and other content submitted by workspace members.
  • Display and pairing information: a randomly generated device token, temporary pairing code, display identifier, device type and model, app and operating system versions, screen resolution, orientation, network type and status, uptime, available memory and storage, cache size, kiosk state, and supported controls.
  • Operational and diagnostic information: online and offline heartbeats, display sessions, command results, error and diagnostic logs, security and control audit events, and standard server information such as IP address, request time, and user agent.
  • Display screenshots: an authorized workspace administrator can request a screenshot of the content visible in the Dashbo player for support and display verification. Screenshots are not captured continuously.
  • Audience-response information: anonymous participant identifiers, poll selections, and rate-limit data when an audience-response feature is used.
  • Support communications: information you include when contacting us.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

  • authenticate users and maintain secure sessions;
  • create and administer workspaces, members, displays, and permissions;
  • pair displays and deliver scheduled content;
  • provide monitoring, remote controls, screenshots, and troubleshooting;
  • protect Dashbo from abuse, unauthorized access, and service disruption;
  • maintain, debug, and improve service reliability; and
  • respond to support, legal, and security requests.

Dashbo does not sell personal information and does not use it for third-party advertising.

3. When information is shared

We may disclose information only as needed to operate Dashbo:

  • Within a workspace: workspace owners, administrators, and authorized members can access information and content according to their role.
  • Service providers: hosting, authentication, database, storage, monitoring, and delivery providers process information on our behalf. These may include WorkOS, Convex, Vercel, and Cloudflare where the applicable service is used.
  • Customer-selected integrations: when a workspace configures an external content source or service, information required for that request is sent to the selected provider under its own terms and privacy policy.
  • Legal and safety reasons: when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our rights, or protect users, the public, Dashbo, or its systems.
  • Business transfer: as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.

4. Security

Dashbo uses HTTPS in production, access controls, scoped workspace permissions, device authentication tokens, restricted administrative operations, and bounded diagnostic collection. No system can guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect information using safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data and service.

5. Retention

Account, workspace, display, and customer content is generally retained while the related account, workspace, display, or service relationship remains active, and for as long as reasonably needed for security, support, legal obligations, and dispute resolution. Users can delete many resources from the dashboard, and authorized workspace owners can delete a workspace.

Short-lived operational data is automatically limited:

  • unclaimed pairing codes expire after approximately 10 minutes;
  • requested display screenshots expire after approximately 24 hours;
  • display diagnostic log batches are retained for approximately 7 days;
  • completed or expired display commands are pruned after approximately 7 days;
  • display-control audit events are retained for approximately 90 days; and
  • stale audience participant state is pruned after approximately 7 days.

Residual copies may remain temporarily in backups, security records, or service-provider systems where deletion is not immediate or where continued retention is legally required.

6. Access, correction, and deletion

Workspace members can update or delete many resources through the Dashbo dashboard. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of account information that is not available in the dashboard, email ahzs6455@gmail.com. Include the email address associated with the account and enough information for us to verify the request. Workspace-owned content may require approval from the workspace owner or administrator.

7. Children

Dashbo is a business digital-signage service intended for adults and organizational users age 18 or older. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through the Dashbo player.

8. International processing

Dashbo and its service providers may process information in countries other than the one where it was collected. Privacy laws and protections may differ between countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Dashbo changes. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the service or by another appropriate method.

10. Contact

Dashbo is a Firstform project. For privacy questions, support, or data requests, email ahzs6455@gmail.com.
